Educational Hostels provide students with an environment that is conducive to academic success, supplemented by the support resources students need. Modern facilities and quality dining services provide the basics at these educational hostels, but it is the academic and residential mentoring programs that really make them stand out. Students are also provided with opportunities to pursue their extracurricular interests in music, theatre and sports.
Through over 50 years of service, BAPS has developed experience and a nuanced understanding of how to best support students through their formative years in secondary and higher education. The first educational hostel was built in Vidyanagar, a college town in Gujarat, and today there are ten hostels operating in Gujarat and Maharashtra at the following locations:

These educational hostels cater to a variety of demographics, including the underserved and tribal regions of western India. Ukai is one such example of an educational hostel that provides opportunities for young students from a tribal and economically disadvantaged background who would otherwise face extreme hardship in their studies. Ukai and the educational hostels operated by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha stand as a testament to the power of education and service.
