BAPS organizes walkathons and sponsored walkathons in partnership with BAPS Charities to raise funds for communities in 52 centers in North America and 5 centers in Europe. These charity walks benefit local benevolent associations, service departments, hospitals, and community centers. Children play a crucial role in raising funds for these walks by conducting door-to-door visits and collecting funds at shopping malls, local carnivals, and education fairs. For example, children at a center in Clifton, New Jersey collected more than $8,000 in just 4 weeks through afterschool door-to-door visits. Children also raise awareness about the cause in local communities by motivating their peers to participate.
