Rebuilding after natural disasters is important for a community to get back on its feet. The BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha has provided relief to hundreds of communities after natural disasters, such as floods, earthquakes, fires, hurricanes, and tsunamis. BAPS provides both short-term immediate relief and long-term recovery initiatives to help rebuild homes, schools, hospitals, and community centers. Tens of thousands of warm meals have been served just hours after these calamities, and dozens of villages have been rebuilt to provide a new life to thousands of individuals for years following the disasters. This relief aid not only provides material and financial support to these communities, but it also instills a sense of moral support and confidence in the members of the community. These initiatives have even inspired affected members of the community to go from being victims to volunteers.
