Yoga and fitness classes held at BAPS mandirs teach children the importance of exercising and eating healthy from a young age. These classes provide interactive methods of instruction, including practical demonstrations of yogic postures and exercises, video presentations, and one-to-one instruction. Martial Arts classes are also taught at many BAPS centers to improve personal fitness, while also focusing on concentration and discipline. Special conventions include morning yoga classes in formats that are attractive and fun for children to participate in, such as Yoga on the Seashore, Yoga and Sports, and Traditional Yoga (in traditional apparel such as dhotis).
