The Amrut Mahotsav in 1995 was held in Mumbai, India. The 37-day festival hosted Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s 75th birthday celebrations and attracted over 8.1 million visitors from around the world. The festival brought India’s culture to life through its beautiful folk dances, intricate architecture, and vibrant music. Thousands of children participated in de-addiction camps, inspiring people to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
The festival grounds were adorned with intricately carved mandirs, gates, and a Bal Nagri, or children’s wonderland. Famous folk and classical music maestros performed every evening, with interludes of folk dances, musicals, and theatrical performances. The festival also featured an exhibition on the contribution of women to Indian society.
