“Tell me and I forget, Teach me and I remember, Involve me and I learn”
BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamandir, Atladara, has always stood ahead to encourage to refine their teacher’s skills as part of their service in education. In line to this a Teacher’s Development Program was conducted this year on 4th and 5th July 2020.
The objective of the program was to inculcate “Team bonding and improve Communication Skills”. Teachers actively took part and prepared on the given enlisted topics. Considering the current pandemic situation, School Management arranged a safe environment for the Teachers to do their presentation. Teachers presented their topics as per the given slot to the honorable Chief Members of the Management and to their peer group (fellow teachers joined via Zoom). The knowledge shared by each group was highly commendable and proved to develop a symbiotic bond among the teachers and also beneficial to enhance their skills. Teacher’s feedback was that they enjoyed this program and it has really helped them to develop qualities like, coordination, leadership, tolerance, loyalty and much more.
Also, a written exam ‘Paratpar’ was conducted on 07th July 2020 to rekindle teacher’s childhood reminiscences of learning and the anxiety of taking assessment. The exam assimilated the values and morals of Pramukh Swami Maharaj in A.P.J Abdul Kalam’s book ‘Transcendence’. The fusion of ‘Science and Religion’ was the topic for assessment. Through this assessment Teacher’s felt fortunate to know the facts hidden behind this vast cosmic harmony of Science and Religion.
The motto was to promote “Write to be understood, Speak to be heard, Read to grow’. This initiative has been a great success.
