As part of the year-long 20th Anniversary Celebrations of Swaminarayan Akshardham, New Delhi, a special event was organized by the BAPS Women’s Wing of Delhi NCR.
Titled ‘Ojaswini – Celebrating Women’s Contribution to Society’, this cultural program highlighted the remarkable achievements and invaluable roles of women in contemporary society. Attended by over 6,000 people from across Delhi NCR, the event reflected the ongoing commitment of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha to addressing matters vital to women and girls of all ages.
The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by distinguished guests, including Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi, Former Minister of State for External Affairs of India; Former Justice Abhilasha Kumari, Former Judicial Member of the Lokpal of India; Dr. Bulbul Sood, Senior Advisor, RMNCHA, and former Country Director at Jhpiego and CEDPA; Dr. Savita Puri, Delhi Medical Association; and Dr. Sushma Chawla, Founder President of NGO Hope – Ek Asha
The vibrant three-hour celebration featured a compelling blend of cultural expressions, including, live stage dramas depicting themes of resilience and empowerment, thought-provoking video presentations, enthralling cultural dances, and soulful musical performances.
The event honored the essential role of women as pillars of society and celebrated their enduring contributions. Beyond recognition, it served as a source of inspiration for the younger generation, promoting values of virtue, empowerment, and moral responsibility.
‘Ojaswini’ exemplified the ethos of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, reinforcing its dedication to nurturing a society rooted in equality, respect, and the empowerment of women.
