On 14th April, 2013, BAPS volunteers visited Nungwi leprosy camp, near Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania.
The camp consists of around 100 homes, sheltering families affected with leprosy. One month's supply of food items and other essentials like rice, sugar, beans, oil, water, soap, etc were donated to each household. In addition, each of the 200 children in the camp received gift packets containing chocolates, biscuits, chips, water, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc. The volunteers also spent some time playing games and interacting with the children.
All the residents of the camp were very grateful towards BAPS Swaminarayan Santha for the donations and thanked the volunteers wholeheartedly for their efforts.
