BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamandir, Randesan, celebrated Sanskrit day on 14th August 2023. It was a day to celebrate the rich heritage and cultural richness of India through language Sanskrit.
The program commenced with the traditional Lamp lighting followed by ‘Shloka Uchharan’ by our campus Director, Dr. Neeta Shah and Sanskit Mahavidyalay Randesan In charge Smt. Rohini Patel. The entire program was conducted in Sanskrit language.
The celebration began with a speech that highlighted the glory of the Sanskrit language, through which the precious stream of Vedic knowledge has flowed down to us since ancient times followed by news and thought.
The event witnessed a myriad of activities which included dance titled ‘Mama Desh Bharatam, Mama Bhasha Sanskrutam’. It was followed by a quiz which was based on ‘Ramayana’, ‘Mahabharata’, Bhagwad Geeta and Upnishads. It was followed by a group song. The most exciting part of the program was a humorous skit that talked about some common mistakes made by the students in learning Sanskrit language. Campus Director Neeta Mam also gave a speech in Sanskrit highlighting the importance, prestige and grandeur of language.
The show culminated with an enchanting Classical dance performance on ‘Shiv Tandav Stotram’.
The students and teachers made special efforts to decorate all the softboards of the classrooms be decorated with Displays in Sanskrit language including Shubhashits, and words commonly used. It was a delightful and refreshing experince.
