The 77th Independence Day of India was celebrated by BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamandir, Randesan. The theme for this Independence Day was ‘Nation First’.
The celebration commenced with the flag-hoisting ceremony where the unfurling of the National Flag was followed by the National Anthem.
The Chief Guest for the day was Mr.Pranav Pandya, Vice Chairman Gujarat Innovation Society and Director on Board of Gujarat Electronics & Software Industry Association. The Chief guest for the day was welcomed by our campus Director Dr. Neeta Shah and our Assistant Director, Mr. Bharat Mavadia.
The program began with a speech that highlighted India's G20 presidency and how India has progressed since the day of Independence till now. It was followed by a ‘Musical Presentation’. Musical presentation highlighted three major issues. Firstly, it highlighted the pride of India who won the Nobel Prize in various fields. Second part showcased how today’s youth is getting addicted to Social Media and Drug Abuse. The third part highlighted how BAPS has played a major role in guiding the youth towards a better future. The most fascinating part of the program was the skit. The skit highlighted proud alumni of SVMR Randesan and how Baps Randesan has played a major role in keeping them away from all the distractions.
It was followed by our campus Director Neeta Mam’s speech in which she talked about the essence of India. She also said that India is known for Unity in Diversity. She also talked about scientific and technological advancements that India has made. She felt proud about the fact that we have a guru like Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Mahant Swami Maharaj. She added that the primary vision of our school is to prepare the girls to be a better citizen of India.
Neeta Mam’s speech was followed by the speech of the Chief Guest. He acknowledged Neeta mam as his elder sister and how she has guided him in his long journey towards success. He appreciated the aura of the campus and talked about the positive vibrations he felt in the campus. He insisted that one should be free in one’s thoughts. He also said that his institution will be more than happy to guide any student who needs any help.
The program concluded with our Assistant Director’s Mr. Bharat Mavadia’s speech. He highlighted the vision of Param Pujya Mahant Swami Maharaj which is ‘Women Empowerment’. He also felt grateful to Iswar Charan Swami who has always guided us at each and every step. He asked the students to emphasise on key qualities like hard work, perseverance and having the right attitude.
