With certificates in hands and faces brightened up with radiating smiles, the Convocation Ceremony for Std 12 was held at Swaminarayan Vidyamandir Randesan on 4 Feb '23. Convocation ceremony is a day devoted to celebrating an important point in a student's life.
The event was graced by Mrs. Bina Handa, an alumnus of IIM-Ahmedabad and Founder Director and Head of Poiesis, Dr. Mithun Khandwala (Academic Director- SVMR), Dr. Neeta Shah (Campus Director- SVMR), Mr. Bharat Mavadia (Assistant Director - SVMR).
The ceremony started with the lighting of lamp and prayer followed by felicitation of the chief guest. The function proceeded with a speech by our Campus Director Dr. Neeta Shah congratulated all the students and said-” You will become valued ambassadors.” She recollected her school days and the memories associated with it. She talked about the relationship that a student shares with a teacher. She motivated all the students to fulfil the wishes of their parents and to have a good sense of communication.She asked all the students to be humble and clear in their thoughts. The best part of her interaction was where she encouraged all the students to fulfil the vision of Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
It was followed by the speech of our Academic Director Dr. Mithun Khaandwala. He started his interaction by congratulating all the parents and thanked them for educating their child. He acknowledged all the students as ‘luckiest lot’ and said that the students are luckier than an Olympian as the Olympics are held once every four years but the exams that a child goes through are held every year. He gave a few tips to the students for being successful in life. He appealed to students that Give your 100 % to whatever you do, Stay true to yourself, Don’t focus on the result only, instead focus on the journey.
He also talked about ‘Suvarna’ and its story. He encouraged all the students to put guru first. He acknowledged Mrs. Bina Handa as ideal guide guide for them.
The ceremony proceeded with the speech of the Chief Guest, Mrs. Bina Handa. She said she felt the divinity as she entered the campus. She congratulated students, teachers and also the parents. She recollected her school days and said that school plays an important role in development of a child as a child spends maximum time in school. It helps us in character building. This was followed by certificate distribution to the students by the dignitaries. Each certificate was personalised based on the qualities of the students, hobbies and their aim in life. Students were invited on the stage by their respective teachers. A few students shared their experience of being in this school and how it brought a major change in their lives. Few parents were also invited on the stage to share their experience as a parent. The parents acknowledged the campus as the best atmosphere for their child. They also highlighted the fact that they are away from gadgets which is the best part. They feel grateful to Pramukh Swami Maharaj for building this school for their daughters.
The program ended with a speech by Mr. Bharat Mavadia, Assistant Director. He highlighted the importance of the value education provided here, Neeta mam's campus management and Mithun sir's mentor system. He specifially mentioned that it was the teachers who played a major role in students development. In order to motivate all the students he recalled previous boards results. He acknowledged all the students as Pramukh Swami Maharaj's daughters and inspired them to get the best result and make society a better. It was a moment that really added charm to the atmosphere with a sense of achievement.
The second Convocation Ceremony ended with a ray of hope and joy that is sure to inspire the students in the years ahead.
