On 4th Nov '23, BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamandir Randesan hosted its first exhibition based on Sustainable Development Goals given by the United Nations. Combining sustainability and creativity, the exhibition showcased how each girl in SVMR is getting prepared to solve global challenges and problems faced by the world today.
The Chief Guest for the day were Mrs. Tejal A Vasavada, Director of American Corner, Ahmedabad, she has produced 3 short documentaries & Mr. Hitesh M. Rawal, Proprietor of H.M Rawal & Co and has over 34 years of experience in the field of law.
The exhibition basically focused on five different areas, Sanskruti, Sanskaar, Shikshan & Swavikas, Swasthya and Satsang, each of which plays an important role in the development of girls. Based on which, Sustainable Development goals were divided accordingly. Each of the groups was allotted as per the requirement accompanied by around 75 students in each group. All 75 students were an amalgamation from all the classes to ensure that every girl gets an equal opportunity to participate. Teachers along with the students put in a lot of effort and hardwork to prepare their respective classes for the exhibition. The highlights of the exhibition were academic and extracurricular activities, classroom teaching, SAMP and equality, satsang, zero food waste & recycling.
A special stage program was organised for the parents in Prayer Hall. The stage program started with the introduction of the theme chosen for Annual Day. The program presented the daily schedule of the students through a mime. It basically highlighted that the activities in the campus are not just focused on academics but also focused on the other areas required for their development. It showed how the girls here participate in competitions, celebrations, adhiveshan, olympiads etc.
The program concluded with the National Anthem. All the parents who joined us on our exhibition were extremely satisfied and happy watching their daughters growing and shining. This exhibition was a marvellous success because of the hardwork and enthusiasm of students and teachers. We at SVMR are looking forward for organising more of such "One of a kind celebrations" on campus.
