‘Classic Writers ’
The week of 4th July- 9th July 2022, saw the celebration of the English festival.
The theme for English Fest this year was ‘Classic writers in English’. The aim of this festival was to polish the linguistic skills of students. To achieve this aim, fun-filled activities were organised.
The activities included enhancing reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. English Week was an opportunity for the students to realise their true potential of achieving fluency in the English language. Activities were based on Roald Dahl, R.K. Narayan, Amish Tripathi, Mark Twain, Ruskin Bond and William Shakespeare. The activities included knowing the author and his famous works, book reading, story mapping, presenting a book review, spell bee and many more. From books to stage, knowledge to expression, from to real, the event had it all. English week was concluded with a ‘Special Assembly’ where each Std participated in various activities like Mono Acting on ‘Ghost of Canterville’, Dialogue between Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, Skit on ‘The Blue Umbrella’ and ‘More About Shakespeare’.The excitement shown by the students participating in various activities was the best reward for the teachers.
