“A nation’s heart resides in the hearts and the soul of its people” – Mahatma Gandhi.
The 70th republic day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamandir on 26th January ’2019. The students saluted the national flag and pledged themselves to uphold the honor and integrity, diversity and uniqueness that is ‘India’. The day began with flag hoisting by the Guest of Honour, Ms. Dhyani Dave, who is an Indian Chess player and holds the Woman International Master title. This was accompanied by our National Anthem, which was followed by a March past. The cultural programme also included various speeches and patriotic songs sung by a children's choir. The guest of honor spoke eloquently about our diverse nation and how we can make our country proud be it in any field. She also emphasized hard work and perseverance as the key to success. It was followed by a speech given by our respected school director, Dr. Neeta Shah, who encouraged all the students to take pride in each and everything they do. The winners of English and G.K Olympiad were felicitated by Ms. Dhyani Dave. The cultural programme ended with a patriotic dance which made all bow in allegiance towards our mother India. Today we are proud of our nation’s achievements and look ahead to the bright future of our country.
