NISARG COMMUNITY SCIENCE CENTER at Gandhinagar is institute recognized by Gujarat Council on Science and Technology. The institute is equipped with several educational packages, schemes, digital library, specimen room, Ham’s radio scheme and 50 models.
Dr. Anil Patel, the Director of the institute invited students to visit the science center. The students were grouped in batches from each class and the visits of 6 batches were scheduled for 4 Sundays of July and August 2018 as detailed in Table 1.
In their visit, Dr. Anil Patel explained to them the importance of science in routine life, demonstrated models and interesting facts. The session was interactive. He invited students to work on different projects. Using models the team demonstrated interesting principles and concepts of basic science like the circular motion, satellites, magnetism, electricity, image formation, etc

On 12 August, the science center organized a Science Competition to celebrate the 99th birthday of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai. 2 students of grade 10 participated in the event. Ms. Prathana Harsora played the role of the great botanist, Sir C V Raman while Ms. Khushi Jesani played a role of the great mathematician, Shri Srinivas Ramanuj. Their mono-acting was impressive and interactive hence bagged appreciation from the audience. Khushi Jesani stood 2nd amongst 34 participants and received prize amount of Rs 300.
