The Celebration for 72nd Independence Day began on 13th August 2018 with Decoration of campus with Wonderful charts. on the same day, students of grade 9th Introduced Freedom fighters in school assembly. on 14th August 2018 students of grade 9th performed a skit depicting Gandhi march, "Simon Go-Back" protests, Quit India and non-cooperation movement.
On 15th August 2018, all the students and participants of YTK gathered to hoist the flag in presence of Shri Lalit Padalia (IAS, Additional Chief Electoral Officer, Gujarat) at sharp 8:15 am, the tri-color was hoisted at central lawn and with a grand salute, the National anthem was sung. Quickly followed by std 5 and 6 singing "jhanda uncha rahe humara...". A parade depicting Vision 2020(given by Dr. A. Pj Abdul Kalam) outlined the duties of a citizen to take country ahead.
A skit - " Jhabak Jyot" was performed which exemplified the valor and grit of freedom fighters. The guest of honor - Sh. Lalit Padalia, who advised students to be a part of democracy by being vigilant and responsible citizen and to follow 3D's [Determination, Dedication, Discipline]. Dr. Neeta Shah, The Director of BAPS Swaminarayan Vidhyamandir, Randesan extended her heartfelt gratitude to the guest and encouraged students to work hard and be independent.
