Visit by Sh. Umesh raja & Team

Any institution is final product of several valued inputs received from several places. They enhance the overall quality of institution one piece at a time. A person associated with BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamandir, Randesan has been Mr. Umesh Raja. He is principal at Swaminarayan School, London since 2002 and has been instrumental in taking the school into the top 2% of entire UK.

On 2nd Aug, 2017, Mr. Umesh Raja visited the campus for his day long program along with his team. The day was started with Morning Assembly and the Certificate Distribution Program. The students performed various programs like song, shlokas recitation, skit and it was followed by Teachers talk. Students of Smruti house performed a Colorful Dance.

Mr. Umesh Raja addressed the assembly after this performance. He motivated students with his chat. “Never lower your standards for any one else. You are better than others and if you need to compete with someone, it has to be with the person you were yesterday. “He quoted and laid huge emphasis on the words by P.P. Mahant Swami Maharaj “Think good, Be good, Do good”. Later he said that the progress achieved by the institution in 1 year is equivalent to that of 10 years and it showed the amount of collective efforts that have gone into making of this school. Mr. Anthony and Ms. Lizzie joined him on stage for little speech later. The students were given certificates for the competitions held last week.

Post assembly, Mr. raja held a special session with students of std 9 in which they got career guidance and vocational tips from all 3 guests. This was followed by a special interactive session with the students of standard 5 & 6 who asked interesting questions to Mr. Raja and his team. A special Group Discussion of teachers with them also proved to be quite fruitful and insightful. Mr. Umesh Raja was gifted a special Lord Ganesha painting by student of std 9 – Sneha Patel.
