Rathyatra is a traditional festival of India, celebrated as mark of Shree Krisna Bhagwan’s homecoming (Vrindavan) with his sister Subhadra and Brother Balrama. Symbolically it marks entrance of divinity into our lives. With this spirit the Rathyatra was celebrated at BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamadir, Randesan on 25th June, 2017 Sunday.
Sanctified murties were placed in a makeshift, decorated chariot and students led the “Rath” around the campus, sanctifying each and every building and places of residence. Murties of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, Guru Paramapara and Guruhari Mahant Swami Maharaj were taken to rooms of each and every child and thus sanctifying their places of residence. Maluba bhawan, Puriba Bhawan and Sakarba bhawan were blessed with special “Padhramni” of Thakorji & Guruhari.
At the end, Rathyatra concluded in Bhakti Sandhya where students and Yuvatis sang bhajans and truly celebrated the day with love and devotion.
