The rich heritage of Indian culture has explained the significance of Guru in many literary works. We realise importance of Guru in everyday life but we have one auspicious day to celebrate, pay reverence and sing the song in glory of such a guru… Guru Purnima!
Guru Purnima was celebrated with heartfelt devotion at BAPS Swaminarayan Vidyamandir, Randesan on 9th July, 2017 Sunday. Students enthusiastically prepared for the special assembly of Guru Purnima. The entire program was handled by students themselves.
Students presented their reverence towards our beloved Guru Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Pragat Guruhari Mahant Swami Maharaj through various acts. The assembly started with dhun by girls “Apna guru kon chhe” which was followed by very inspiring story of Swamishri.
The ambience was sanctified by the chanting of prayer ‘Gurudev na charan ma, Kariye karod vandan…’ and kirtan ‘Vichare sant swarupe bhagvant…’. A special performance of dance filled environment with energy.
The program was carried forward by Director Neeta Madam’s inspiring words explaining the importance of guru in life. A special program by YTK students elaborated significance of the day too.
The assembly ended with the video darshan of Pujya Mahant Swami maharaj and guru pujan.
