Mahant Swami Maharaj Leads Coronation Tribute to His Majesty King Charles III, UK
6 May 2023
Coronation Tribute to HM King Charles III
Kamlesh Patel, a senior BAPS volunteer, reflected upon various meetings and visits His Majesty King Charles III has enjoyed with BAPS over the course of more than 40 years...
... the first of which was in 1981 when The then Prince of Wales was presented with a commemorative coin marking the bicentenary of Bhagwan Swaminarayan
Yogvivekdas Swami, Head Swami of London Mandir, shared his message of congratulations for His Majesty King Charles III on his coronation
“We pray that you are blessed with good health, and that you can serve our country with courage and fortitude for many years to come.”
Earlier, His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj had written a letter to His Majesty King Charles III
Paramtattvadas Swami read out the letter from His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj to His Majesty King Charles III
In his letter, Mahant Swami Maharaj conveys his congratulations, prayers and blessings for the new king and the whole of the United Kingdom
Earlier in the day, Jitu Patel (third from right), Chair of BAPS UK, greeted His Majesty alongside other senior faith leaders of the UK as a part of the Coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey
Thousands had gathered at London Mandir to joyously mark the occasion in the presence of Mahant Swami Maharaj
Swamishri lighted a traditional lamp to bless the occasion with auspiciousness
As Swamishri lighted the traditional lamp...
... children chanted the shanti-path, an ancient Vedic peace prayer
The whole congregation joined in prayers for peace and harmony to prevail across the world
Mahant Swami Maharaj blessed the coronation tribute with a personal message of congratulations and prayers
Swamishri said: “Your Majesty, on behalf of everyone at BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha around the world, I send you my heartiest congratulations.”
“We pray to God that you remain in good health and can serve the people of this country with righteousness and moral fortitude.”
“May our friendship continue to blossom.”
“We look forward to welcoming you not only here at Neasden Temple, but to our temples across the world.”
“Our heartfelt wishes for the success and happiness of you, the Royal Family, and all the people of the United Kingdom.”
The occasion was warmly greeted by young and old in the congregation
