BAPS Swaminarayan Research Institute, Australia, provides children and youths across Australia and New Zealand to engage in courses related to Vedic philosophy and Vedic rituals.
Recently, children aged 5 to 14 years, completed: i) the study and memorizing of the 565 Sanskrit verses from the Swaminarayan Siddhant Karika, and ii) memorizing the Sanskrit verses of the Shri Swaminarayan Mahapuja and how to perform the accompanying Vedic rituals.
To commemorate Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s Centenary Celebrations, they pledged to perform more than 100 mahapuja rituals at the homes of well-wishers in their own cities by December 2022. Also, all of these children had memorized the 315 Sanskrit verses of the Satsang Diksha Shastra as well.
Over 100 children gathered at the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir, Adelaide, for their convocation ceremony in the presence of Mahamahopadhyaya Bhadreshdas Swami. Devotees welcomed the youngsters by showering sanctified flowers on them in recognition of their great accomplishment. Bhadreshdas Swami addressed the assembly and also lauded the children’s achievements. Each student was presented a graduation certificate and a memento.
