The Telugu New Year, Ugadi, was celebrated with great devotion at BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir, Secunderabad.
Telugu devotees were warmly welcomed with the traditional drink, ‘pachadi’.
Prayers for a happy and prosperous New Year for all were offered through abhishek of Shri Nilkanth Varni and recitation of Sahajanand Namavali. Also, an Annakut of South Indian vegetarian delicacies was offered before the murtis at Secunderabad Mandir.
In addition, the Panchang was read, which is a special traditional practice conducted in all mandirs across Telangana as part of the New Year celebration.
During the afternoon Sunday Satsang assembly, swamis gave inspiring discourses and a motivational video was presented in Telugu.
