BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, Mwanza, was invited, together with representatives of various other religions in Mwanza, by the St. Augustine University of Tanzania (SAUT) to a workshop on interreligious dialogue. SAUT is a Catholic-owned higher academic institution managed by the Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC).
The department of Philosophy and Ethics at SAUT organized this workshop on 'Interreligious dialogue to form a peaceful and harmonious society’. The workshop helped to build a respectful, loving, and cooperative society despite the religious differences.
On behalf of BAPS, Dipeshkumar Girishchandra Dave presented how to equip the youth to serve society so that people live by the principles of love, dignity, equality and mutual respect.
The event was attended by over 1,500 delegates, including representatives of religious institutions in the region and government officials. Vice Chancellor Prof. Costa Ricky Mahalu was the chief guest.
