In his address, HE Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Co- existence, said, “It will be our wisdom that will strengthen peace among nations and will promote and ensure respect and human rights for everyone. It will be our wisdom that will allow us to resolve conflicts through peaceful means.”
Speaking at the summit, Head of BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, Swami Brahmaviharidas said, "The role of faith leaders in promoting peace and harmony is critical. My spiritual master, His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj prayed for and envisioned a mandir in Abu Dhabi that bridges countries, cultures, and religions. Today, the BAPS Hindu Mandir has become a spiritual oasis for global harmony. With over 70,000 people stepping forward to lay a brick during the construction of the mandir, the journey itself was one of harmony. In the past year, over 2.5 million people from all over the world, of all religions, races, and cultures have visited. Since its completion, the mandir has developed into a place of spiritual refuge for world peace, where people come to pray and leave with greater joy and love for themselves and others. The mandir itself is the proof that religions can coexist, that countries can help one another, that culture is no longer a point of conflict, but the creation of cohesion. Let us professionally and passionately breathe more harmony in our families, in our society, and in our daily lives.”
Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala, Chairman of the ‘I am Peacekeeper Movement’, reinforced the call for a peaceful and just world through a Peace Charter – 'A Love Letter to Humanity' – which will be presented to the United Nations. The joint Peace Charter preamble stated: “Peace is not merely the absence of conflict but the presence of justice, love, and peace, committed to upholding the principles that foster harmony, progress, and human equality for all.”
The two-day conference created positive energy across all sections of society.
