The BAPS Women’s Wing in Mumbai celebrated the life and work of Brahmaswarup Pramukh Swami Maharaj as part of his 98th birthday celebrations. They conveyed their sentiments of devotion with a celebration based on the theme ‘Sant Param Hitkari…’ (The Sadhu does the highest good for all).
Over 4,800 women devotees and well-wishers attended the celebration assembly, which comprised an excellent cultural program that was developed, directed and presented by the women devotees. The program featured skits based on true incidents, colorful dances, speeches and other items.
The chief guest was Governor of Uttar Pradesh Shrimati Anandiben Patel, along with Padma Shri Dr. Indiraben Hinduja (Distinguished Gynecologist) and Mrs. Shivani Vijay Patil (First Lady and Managing Trustee of D.Y. Patil University).
Addressing the celebration assembly, Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel, said, “Usually in schools, teachers teach the syllabus to the children and that’s where their work is finished. But in the schools built by Swamishri, education is given whilst inculcating good qualities in the children, which would be useful to them throughout their entire life.”
