During a time when accelerating climate change and staggering biodiversity loss threaten our planet, BAPS once again participated in Earth Hour, organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature, in support of protecting our planet. BAPS Mandirs across North America joined other global landmarks, such as the Empire State Building, the Pyramids of Egypt, and the Eiffel Tower, in turning off lights in honor of Earth Hour on Saturday, March 30, 2019, between 8:30-9:30 pm local time.
Earth Hour is now the world's largest grassroots movement for the environment, inspiring millions of people to take action for our planet and nature. Inspired by His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, t
he event is one of many sustainability initiatives BAPS is involved in as part of a broader commitment to support safe environmental practices.
