Promoting the theme, ‘Building a Better Community, One Step at a Time,’ over 200 people participated in the 7-km Walkathon 2019 organized by the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir, Adelaide, along the scenic Torrens River. The $13,301 raised from the Walkathon 2019 were donated to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation.
With each step, participants of all ages contributed to a noble cause that directly supported the community. Among the participants was an 82-year-old woman who walked 4 km.
Present on this occasion were Mr. Surender Par, Councilor for Plympton Ward, and Ms. Heidi Wolff, Fundraising Officer of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital Foundation.
