Around 360 doctors and their families from throughout India attended this year’s conference, which was based on the theme ‘Sadhana: My Duty, My Devotion’. Among the attendees were Dr. Navin Thakkar (President of Asia-Pacific Pediatric Association), Dr. S.P. Rathod (Dean, G.M.E.R.S. Medical College, Junagadh), super-specialists, specialists, general practioners and doctors of other grades.
The shibir theme was effectively conveyed through speeches by Pujya Doctor Swami, other senior BAPS swamis, experienced devotees, enlightening videos, workshops and panel discussions. The delegates learnt how to balance their personal, spiritual and professional lives, the role of sadhana (spiritual endeavor) in life and practical ways to apply these ideas in their daily lives.
In one morning practical session, the delegates also performed samuh puja. In addition, the doctors and their families were inspired and blessed by a video message from Param Pujya Mahant Swami Maharaj
Since 1994, more than 32,000 doctors and their families have benefitted from the medico-spiritual conferences organized in various locations by BAPS Pramukh Swami Health Services.
