All around the world, International Women's Day represents an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women while calling for greater equality. The annual BAPS Women’s Day celebrations were organized at more then 243 mandirs and centers across India, with more than 100,000 attendees with this year’s theme being “Anant Upkar.”
As part of the ongoing celebrations of “Pramukh Swami Maharaj Shatabdi Mahotsav” the conference in each location comprised of inspiring speakers and cultural programs. The programs included skits and multimedia presentations on the Upkars of Pramukh Swami Maharaj i.e. Samajik Upkar, Shaikshanik Upkar, Sanskrutik upkar, Naitik Upkar and Adhyatmik Upkar.
Invited guests also addressed the audience. The objective was to inspire those who came to the event and to empower women everywhere. At many centers, local women were honored for their achievements and their having given meaningful guidance to many others. Youth and children participated in making the programs successful in many centers across India.
