BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Nairobi, Kenya's Mahila Mandal celebrated 'International Women's Day' on 25th May, 2013.
The theme of the celebrations was 'Charitra Deep'. The celebrations opened with the chanting of vedic mantras in the form of a dance performed by balikas and ritualistic lighting of lamp by the chief guest, Mrs Bharati Savani. The event further consisted of a skit, quiz, parade, dances, discourses and video darshan of Param Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj. Around 70 women participated in the various performances and more than 550 women attended the Women's Day celebrations.
