BAPS Satsang centers are active in 12 countries in Africa: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi and Congo.
Between March and May 2013, three shibirs were held for satsang activities karyakars: 30 March-1 April in Kampala, Uganda, 26-28 April in Arusha, Tanzania and 3-5 May in Lenasia, South Africa. A total of 635 karyakars participated in the shbirs.
Based on the theme ‘Kartavya’, the volunteers were guided on how to perform their duties with pride, dedication, efficiency and understanding
Through speeches, discussions, audio-visual presentations, skits and message-oriented activities, BAPS sadhus and experienced senior volunteers re-inforced the shibir theme. It was a learning experience for all the karakars, who went back stronger in their faith and renewed in their vigor to maintain and strengthen satsang.
