BAPS Tanzania decided to honor Tanzania’s National Tree Planting Day on January 01, 2012, by planting five species of trees, at two schools.
Tapovatsal Swami and Siddhyogi Swami graced this event. The first tree planting was at the Buguruni School for the Deaf and Dumb, where 30 trees were planted by volunteers at different locations in and around the school. The second location was Kisutu Primary School.
The list of trees and related items that were donated was:
1. Mango Trees : 10
2. Ashoka Trees : 30
3. Christmas Trees : 10
4. Miscellaneous Varities of Trees : 10
5. Manure : 4 bags
6. Watering Bucket : 1
7. Spade : 1
A team of BAPS volunteers from Dar-Es-Salaam had organized all the logistics and materials for the event, which concluded in the afternoon.
