Bodeli is regarded as a major center for the adivasis (tribals) of the Vadodara and Panchmahal districts of Gujarat.
For many years Pramukh Swami Maharaj and BAPS sadhus have inspired the values of satsang in many tribal residents of the districts, freeing them from addictions, vices, superstitions and other damaging habits.
With the blessings of Swamishri, and the efforts of the sadhus and devotees, a grand shikharbaddh mandir has been built in Bodeli, using golden colored stones of Jaisalmer.
On the morning of 6 March 2011, a Vedic Yagna for World Peace was held in which 3,200 devotees participated.
In the afternoon a grand colorful nagaryatra through the streets of Bodeli took place, in which the murtis to be consecrated were paraded with honor on beautifully decorated floats.
On 7 March, senior sadhus performed the preliminary murti-pratishtha rituals. And on 12 March 2011, Swamishri perfomed the concluding rituals and the murti-pratishtha arti.
