Prayers for World Peace and Harmony at BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir

Visitors from around the country braved the elements to join in 12 hours of continuous chanting for world peace, harmony and well-being for the year ahead. Since 1984, with the blessings of Pramukh Swami Maharaj, it has become an annual tradition to offer prayers here on the first day of the New Year.

Regional Basketball Tournament - Yogi Cup 2013

The BAPS Yogi Cup Basketball Tournament is an annual event where Kishores, youths ages 14-22, gather to compete in their respective regions. It promotes the messages of Samp, Suradbhav and Ekta, values instilled by Yogiji Maharaj, to bring the participants together. It was held this year in Atlanta, Indianapolis, Houston and Robbinsville.

'Be Ekantik' - Kishore-Kishori Regional Convention

From 8 to 11 January 2014, around 255 kishores and kishoris from Australia and New Zealand attended the Asia Pacific Regional Convention 2014 in the presence of Pujya Ishwarcharan Swami and sadhus. The Convention, titled ‘Be Ekantik’, was held in Creswick, Australia.

The inauguration celebrations of the new shikharbaddh mandir, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Kolkata, were held from 31 January to 2 February 2014. Swamishri had performed the murti pratishtha earlier in Ahmedabad. Pujya Mahant Swami, Pujya Doctor Swami, Pujya Kothari Swami and Pujya Tyagvallabh Swami performed the murti pratishtha rituals at the mandir.
