Hostel
The hostel was started in the year 1991-92 in the tranquil and serene lush green surroundings. There are separate blocks for accommodating boys and girls This hostel comprises of three residential blocks namely Yogi Bhavan, Yogi Smruti, Pramukh Prasad for students.
Each boarding house has an experienced Hostel Attendants who provides personalized care and help students nurture and groom in the best possible way.
Good motherly care at BAPS Chhatralay is central to every individual student’s intellectual, spiritual and emotional development. We have a comprehensive life skills programme for boys and girls as per age group. This programme is supported by a tutorial system and one-to-one guidance provided by trained counselors.
This Chhtralay is their home, their place of work for homework and the foundation of their faith in God. We have an astonishingly strong and highly developed inter-house competitive system that encompasses intellectual, sporting, cultural and other pursuits.
We operate a traditional seven-day boarding schedule with an academic timetable with lessons from Monday to Saturday inclusive. Sunday is reserved for outings, activities and opportunities for pupils to catch up with themselves. The theme of well-being is also interwoven into hostel life; the skills learnt enable pupils to think ahead, be resilient and resourceful and to develop strategies that they will carry with them long after they have walked out of the school gates.
Dining Hall
The dining hall is spacious, well planned and air ventilated. It has a serene look and with a sitting capacity of 150 students. The kitchen is well equipped with modernized equipmentChildren are taught not to waste the food.
The hostel menu includes rice, chapattis, pulses, vegetables, salad and sweet dishes to provide all the necessary nutrients. To rule out the monotony of the food stuffs, the menus has varieties of food for each week.
Play Grounds
Strenuous training is provided in various model and traditional Indian games. The sports activities include kabbadi, kho-kho, shooting, volleyball, badminton, cricket, hand ball, soft ball, throw ball, athletic (track and field) , dumbbells, etc
The programmes of physical education provide opportunities to participate in various competitions inside the campus as intramurals and also at the state/district/block level as extra-mural competition. Various Inter school competitions are held on the school play grounds every year.
