aims to improve and advance inclusive research practice and community engagement in health and care research
The new Centre was launched at the University of Oxford on 17 May 2023
Professor Mahendra Patel, CEO of the Centre, spoke about the role of Neasden Temple in creating a three-fold increase in community engagement due to its support in clinical trials for Covid-19 treatment
Yogvivekdas Swami sent a recorded video message of support and congratulations, “to help ensure we can serve
everyone
within our community, irrespective of faith or ethnicity.”
Rena Amin, a lead BAPS volunteer in the UK, led a panel discussion as a part of the launch event
Mrs Amin affirmed, “BAPS is committed to supporting communities throughout the UK. We were humbled by the invitation to join the Centre and are confident that this collaboration will ultimately improve health outcomes and reduce inequalities throughout the community.”
