Interactive Workshop: Silk Scrolls with Kinetika, an internationally renowned arts organisation
The silk scrolls were a collaborative 'Diversity Through Arts' project delivered by the Women's Forum of BAPS with Kinetika, supported by Arts Council England

Each of the 4-metre scrolls was conceptualised, designed and crafted over 3 months by female volunteers
Together the silk scrolls depict the achievements and values of powerful women in the community

The evening programme included a play following the life journey of Asha. Here she is a young girl reflecting upon her negative experiences in school.
Asha when she was at university, introspecting on her reasons for failure
Asha on her way to Neasden Temple with her friend to celebrate International Women’s Day in 2019, contemplating on her career and marriage
Asha joins her friend where they both reflect on their experiences and teachings of life that contributed to who they are today
The year is 2050. Asha reflects upon the past 60 years of her life after finding her diaries in the attic.
Panellists in the final session included some of the most accomplished and esteemed women in the country in their respective fields
The panellists discussed success and failure, emphasising that success is finding opportunity in failure, to shine personally, professionally and for others
The thought-provoking discussion was inspiring for women of all ages
