A special two-year initiative was launched on the premises of the under construction BAPS mandir in Amreli in the build-up to the murti-pratishtha. On the day of Vasant Panchami, 551 yajmans, seated around 51 yagna kunds, participated in a Vedic mahapuja ceremony and then offered over 100,000 ahutis into the yagna pits while the 315 verses of the Satsang Diksha shastra were recited.
Following this launch, every day, a devotee family in Amreli will perform the Satsang Diksha Homatmak Yagna at their home with the help of specially trained youths to pray for universal peace and harmony and the successful completion of the mandir.
