As part of its year-long 20th Anniversary Celebrations, Swaminarayan Akshardham in New Delhi hosted a one-day conference to mark the Silver Jubilee of the Delhi Sant Mahamandal (National Capital Region).
The historic conference brought together over 400 sadhus, sages, and mahamandaleshwars representing various sampradayas, matths, ashrams, and mandirs across the Delhi NCR. Esteemed attendees included Shri Mahant Shraddheya Narayan Giri Ji Maharaj (International Spokesperson for Shri Panch Dashnam Juna Akhada, Varanasi, and President, Delhi Sant Mahamandal NCR), Mahamandaleshwar Naval Kishore Das Ji, Mahamandaleshwar Pujya Kanchan Giriji Maharaj, Shraddheya Swami Dhirendra Puriji Maharaj, Jainacharya Lokesh Muni Ji, Shri Mahant Pujya Swami Pramod Krishnam ji, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Sarvanand ji Maharaj, Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Balakanand ji Maharaj, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Pragyanand Giri Ji Maharaj, Pujya Devkinandan Thakur Ji , and Acharya Sudhanshu Ji Maharaj.
The conference commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by prominent sadhus and mahamandaleshwars, accompanied by the recitation of Vedic chants. Among the topics discussed were Indian spirituality, traditions, sadhana (spiritual practice), saintliness, unity, and mutual love. The discourses were anchored on the teachings of Param Pujya Pramukh Swami Maharaj, particularly his messages: ‘Dharma is that which fosters mutual love’ and ‘In the joy of others lies our own’.
Representing the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, Dharamvatsaldas Swami, Bhadreshdas Swami, and Munivtatsaldas Swami also presented the inspiring messages of Param Pujya Mahant Swami Maharaj.
After the conference, a new ambulance service was ceremonially inaugurated by the Delhi Sant Mahamandal. This service will support the upcoming Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj in 2025, reflecting the spirit of service and compassion advocated by the gathering.
This momentous conference continued Swaminarayan Akshardham’s unwavering efforts to preserve Indian traditions and spirituality while promoting unity, love, and peace.
