His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj often said that children are the future of the world and should be raised to have values that enrich them and society. With this objective, over 2,500 parents and children took part in the special assemblies promoting bal sanskars held at homes in BAPS centres across Australia and New Zealand during July 2023.
Using material provided by the national team, devotees conducted the assemblies at their homes, inviting up to three families to participate. Through videos, group discussions, interactive activities and Mahant Swami Maharaj’s blessings, the assemblies guided children on respecting their parents and parents on their duties towards their children.
Parents pledged to spend more quality time with their children in order to strengthen the parent-child bond. Additionally, parents were inspired to enrol their children in various BAPS bal-balika activities to further the development of their children's character and values.
