On Sunday, March 23, 2025, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Flushing, New York, proudly served as the concluding stop of the 17th Annual Queens Interfaith Unity Walk. Organized by the Flushing Interfaith Council, the event brought together individuals of diverse backgrounds to promote dialogue, understanding, and peace across faith communities.
BAPS devotees joined fellow participants on the walk, visiting various houses of worship and fostering connections along the way. As the final destination, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Flushing, New York welcomed over 100 attendees into a warm, inclusive atmosphere.
Guests were offered light refreshments and invited to attend a thoughtful presentation on Hinduism, with a special emphasis on the Swaminarayan tradition and the teachings of His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj and His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj. The presentation underscored BAPS’s dedication to universal harmony, seva (selfless service), and interfaith collaboration.
Visitors also toured the mandir and engaged in meaningful conversations with devotees, gaining a deeper appreciation for Hindu traditions and the spiritual values that guide the BAPS community.
The event beautifully reflected the timeless message of Pramukh Swami Maharaj: “In the joy of others lies our own.” It reinforced the powerful role faith communities play in building bridges of mutual respect and shared humanity.
