A grand poetry convention titled, ‘Keshav Kavya Kalarav’, was organized by BAPS Swaminarayan Research Instutite, Akshardham, New Delhi.
Original poems, muktaks and ghazals in Hindi, Sanskrit and English on the subjects of 'Guru', 'Bhagwan', 'Atmavichar', 'Sankhya Vichar', 'Akshaya Anand' were submitted from which the selection committee invited the creators of the best creations to present their creations at the function.
This special program started with the lighting of the lamp and an address by Munivatsaldas Swami, in which he described poetry as an integral part of devotion. Then, a Sanskrit poem by Mahamahopadhyay Bhadresh Swami, Head of the BAPS Swaminarayan Research Institute, who was not present, was recited.
Thereafter, 22 participants, aged between 19 and 90 years, presented their poems on Guru-Glory, Guru-Love, God's Blessings, Guru Education, Beauty of Akshardham, Guru Darshan, Guru Kripa, Virtues of God and Guru and other topics.
Among the contributors were Dr. Yuvraj Bhattaraiji, recipient of the 2019 Sahitya Academic Yuva Puraskar, who narrated his composition dedicated to Maa Kali; and former High Court Chief Justice and present Lokpal Abhilasha Kumariji, who presented a wonderful composition on Guru Mahima.
The recitations by the participants filled the atmosphere with divine joy.
At the end, the winners were presented awards on behalf of the BAPS Swaminarayan Research Institute, Swaminarayan Akshardham, New Delhi.
