For the first time ever BAPS swamis based in Kolkata visited the state of Mizoram in northeastern India. During their week-long stay, Amrutcharitdas Swami and Muktapriyadas Swami conducted enlightening seminars on family values and principles of Sanatan Dharma, satsang sabhas, discourses on the Ramayan and interacted with representatives of the Bengali, Nepali, Gorkha and Bihari communities. The seminars were hosted by the Bhojpuri Kalyan Samiti and Gorkha/Nepali Samaj – Aizawl.
During their visit, the swamis met Prof. Pravakar Rath, Vice Chancellor of Mizoram University; Shri S Sunder, Vice Chancellor of the National Institute of Technology, Mizoram; Shri Vanlalhmuaka, State President, BJP; Shri Tikaram Sharma, Central Committee of Nepali/Gorkha Samaj; Shri Sanjit Dey, President of Bengali Samaj of Mizoram; and other dignitaries.
