Swamis from the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Kolkata visited the states of Nagaland, Manipur and Assam in Northeast India to share the Sanatan Hindu values and traditions upheld by Bhagwan Swaminarayan, and gurus Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Mahant Swami Maharaj.
On 12 and 13 April, at Kohima & Dimapur in Nagaland, they conducted Satsang seminars and an assembly for the tribal Hindu Garo community. They also met the Honorable Governor of Nagaland Sri La Ganeshan, BJP President of Nagaland Shri Temjen Imna, as well as leaders of the Marwadi and Bengali communities.
On 14 and 15 April, at Imphal in Manipur, leading representatives and members of many Manipuri Hindu communities attended the public Satsang assembly organized by Vishva Hindu Parishad
On 16 and 17 April, the swamis went to Silchar in Assam, where they conducted a public satsang assembly attended primarily by Hindu leaders and members of the Marwadi and Bengali communities. Guruhari Mahant Swami Maharaj had visited Silchar in September 2010.
On 17 April, the swamis also went to West Jalinga Tea Estate in the southernmost area of Assam for a public satsang assembly in the presence primarily of members of the Bengali and Bihari communities.
In all three states, the swamis offered prayers for the growth and prosperity of the people.
