BAPS Swaminarayan Sanskrit Mahavidyalay, Sarangpur, one of the 38 colleges affiliated with Shree Somnath Sanskrit University, teaches students Akshar-Purushottam Darshan, Logic (Nyay), Grammar (Vyakaran), Literature (Sahitya), and other subjects in Sanskrit as part of the BA (Shastri), MA (Acharya) and other courses in Swaminarayan Vedant.
Through their dedication, a conducive environment and appropriate guidance, BAPS students graduate with top grades each year.
The convocation ceremony for BA and MA graduates in the academic year 2021–22 was held in the presence of Shri Acharya Devvratji (Hon. Governor of Gujarat) via video conference; and the in-person presence of Shri Praful Pansuriyaji (Education Minister of Gujarat), Shri Shrinivas Varkhediji (Vice Chancellor, National Sanskrit University, New Delhi), Dr. Lalitkumar Patel (Vice Chancellor, Shree Somnath Sanskrit University) and other dignitaries.
Students of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanskrit Mahavidyalay were presented the gold and silver medals for attaining first and second ranks in the BA and the MA exams.
Also, Shri Krishna Gajendra Pandaji, a professor at BAPS Swaminarayan Sanskrit Mahavidyalay, was awarded a doctorate (PhD) for successfully completing his thesis on Akshar-Purushottam Darshan.
