Over 1900 Yuvaks and Yuvatis gathered at one of sixteen Guru Bhakti Din events organized between April and May across North America in the presence of Pujya Swamis. The Yuva-specific, one-day event commemorating the centennial birth anniversary of His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj focused on how Pramukh Swami Maharaj offered bhakti towards his gurus Shastriji Maharaj and Yogiji Maharaj.
Participants engaged in discourses during three programs throughout the day, exploring how Mahima is the root of all that one does for their guru. The “Remarkable Journey” session chronicled Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s arduous overnight travel from Atladra to Sarangpur after interpreting a passing remark from Shastriji Maharaj as agna. Then, during the “75 for 75” session, participants were taken back to the final 75 days of preparations leading up to Yogiji Maharaj’s Amrut Mahotsav (75th Birthday Celebrations) in Gondal - getting a glimpse at Swamishri’s efforts and the obstacles he had to overcome. Finally, during the “Ko. Na.” session, participants learned how Pramukh Swami Maharaj navigated all his relationships successfully using the qualities of nirmanipanu, dhiraj and kshama (humility, patience, and forgiveness).
Everyone left with a better understanding of Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s life and guru bhakti. Moreover, they went with renewed enthusiasm towards developing their bhakti towards their gurus Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Mahant Swami Maharaj.
