Hundreds of devotees gathered at BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir, Auckland, in the presence of Pujya Swayamprakashdas Swami (Doctor Swami) for a special yagna ceremony known as the ‘Gruh Shanti Homatmak Yagna’. The rituals commenced with the pujan of Shri Akshar-Purushottam Maharaj, Pramukh Swami Maharaj, Mahant Swami Maharaj and the Satsang Diksha shastra. Subsequently, Pujya Doctor Swami lit the ritual yagna flame. Thereafter, many balaks and yuvaks who had completely memorized the 315 Sanskrit shlokas of the Satsang Diksha chanted the verses in unison as sanctified grains of rice were offered in the sacrificial flame, charging the air with divinity.
This yagna was the first of its kind in New Zealand, and marked the beginning of a continuous chain of yagnas to be performed in the ANZ region. This Satsang Diksha homatmak yagna will be performed at the home of a different devotee every day, keeping the flame of the Satsang Diksha forever alight in the minds of all devotees.
