As part of the inauguration ceremony of the BAPS Swaminarayan Research Institute, Australia, over a thousand devotees and well-wishers, in person and many more via the live webcast participated in the 'Satsang Diksha Homatmak Path,' a special yagna ceremony.
The rituals commenced with the pujan of Shri Akshar-Purushottam Maharaj, Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Mahant Swami Maharaj, the Satsang Diksha Shastra and the traditional yagna kund. Mahamahopadhyaya Bhadreshdas Swami commenced the historic yagna by lighting the flame for this auspicious ritual. Sanctified grains were offered in the sacrificial flame with the recital of 315 Sanskrit verses from the Satsang Diksha scripture by 100 children and youths from Australia and New Zealand. These children had all memorised the entire Satsang Diksha scripture in Sanskrit. Bhadreshdas Swami explained the glory of this yagna and the benefits of performing such a traditional ritual.
To commemorate Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s Centenary Celebrations, this yagna ceremony was the first of its kind in Australia. The rituals included prayers for world peace and harmony.
The BAPS Swaminarayan Research Institute, Australia, will help to preserve the rich cultural and moral values that Vedic Sanatan Dharma has offered to the world.
