As part of His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s Shatabdi (Centennial) Celebrations, BAPS North America Satsang organized six celebrations across North America. Due to COVID-19, the events took a virtual format in the form of six documentaries. Each documentary showcases Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s contributions and impact on that region. The first documentary in the series was broadcast on Saturday, August 14, 2021, showcased Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s impact on the Canada region.
HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s (1921-2016) life and work continues to leave a transformative impact on countless people around the world. His compassion upon all was very evident through his life credo, “In the joy of others lies our own.”
Canada is one such country that was blessed with Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s compassion. The 100-minute documentary, “Swami Karuna Aparampar: HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj in Canada,” elaborates on Swamishri’s kindness upon all through photos, videos, interviews, and other multimedia elements. Using Canada’s natural elements as symbols of Swamishri’s compassion, the documentary discusses three topics:
“Vicharya Anant Apar” - Swamishri’s endless vicharan (travels)
“Varasya Anaradhar” - Swamishri’s overflowing love
“Na Bhuliye Upkar” - Swamishri’s timeless gift of a mandir.
This documentary commemorates Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s divine compassion for the nation of Canada and its people as a way to celebrate his centenary celebrations.
