The Vachanamrut is the foremost scripture of the Swaminarayan Sampradaya and contains Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s spiritual discourses compiled by four of his eminent paramhansas. The first discourse in the Vachanamrut is dated 21 November 1819. So, to commemorate the bicentenary of the commencement of the Vachanamrut, over the past 18 months, devotees of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha throughout the world have undertaken special devotional observances.
As a grand finale to the Vachanamrut Bicentenary Celebrations, five days of festivities have been scheduled in Gadhada, the small town which served as Bhagwan Swaminarayan’s base for over 25 years.

‘Divya Sankalp Gatha’ (The Story of a Divine Wish) – a projection mapping show that together with live dances, skits and music narrates the history of Gadhada mandir.

Inauguration of 25-ft murtis of Bhagwan Swaminarayan on his mare, Manki, Aksharbrahman Gunatitanand Swami and Bhaktaraj Shri Dada Khachar.

Inauguration of a permanent exhibition in the renovated darbar of Bhaktaraj Shri Jiva Khachar sanctified by Bhagwan Swaminarayan.

Dispersal of the sacred ashes of Brahmaswarup Pramukh Swami Maharaj into the holy River Ghela.
